A pirate is probably the most recognizable and easy of Halloween costumes. As long as you follow the main idea (booty hunting?), you can use all sorts of flair to make it your own. We combined new “steampunk” boot spats with faux suede pantaloons, a pirate coat and hat, and some costume jewelry, as well as a Peruvian embroidered vest. Pirates are world travelers, after all.
